Evil Sweet is a Pop Rock band with a large hip-hop influence.  Located in Long Island, New York, the founding members Scotty OBC and Zachary Castro have been creating music together since their early high school years.  Both having heavy roles in the songwriting, Zach is the Guitarist and Rapper for the group with Scotty on lead vocals.  A Rock band with a Pop style, Evil Sweet also blends genres such as Blues, Funk, Folk, and Rap.  Major influences of the group include The Beatles, Oasis, Portugal. The Man, Pink Floyd, and Chance The Rapper.

Formerly known as The Upside, the band made the transition to Evil Sweet on January 1st, 2019, as the group's sound evolved and explored the direction of a full rock band.  The EP 'The Weather Up There' was the product of this sound, released on January 15th, 2019, on all major streaming platforms.  The Upside released the self-titled 'The Upside' EP in Spring 2018 which can also be found on all major streaming platforms.
